Have you guys heard of that Don't Ask, Don't Tell law? I just saw something about it on the news today. Apparantly, there was some law from the '90s that they're bringing back that says you can't openly serve in the US army if you're gay. I think that's absolutely ridiculous. ><;;

Yeah, I remember hearing about that. Blatant discrimination, anyone? ><

The thing I really don't understand is what the heck their sexual orientation has to do with anything... If they're completely incapable of fighting, then sure, but if they're gay and there's no real reason to stop them from serving in the army, then what is the problem? ><

And they just allow that kind of discrimination, yeah. It makes... no sense at all.

Very weird. I mean... there is no logic behind it, none. I can't say I blame you, Pat ><

People that had to go to war with the Draft used to pretend to be Homosexual to get out of it. It wouldn't be uncommon for young men to randomly kiss each other just to get out of it. -shrug-

I do find it very odd that they're.. bringing it back? Back then they were much less open about Sexual Orientation, but now its like... why bring that back?

The thing about America is it's an adolescent country. Every country in existance all over the world has history that dates back far more than two hundred years, but America's history begins in the 1700s. We're still going through what so many other nations have done and been done with. America is a teenager trying to find it's way on it's own, and we're making a lot of mistakes along the way. But, the best thing about America is that it's a country of hope, we have so much more than most other nations and therein lies the potential for us to create a great nation, the problem is there is so much prejudice, beauracracy, and hesitance to take several necessary steps. America is young and stupid, but when we finally wise up (which I'm really hoping Barack Obama can help with) there is an endless potential to what we can accomplish.

I think I'm somewhere in the middle on the scale, leaning mostly towards men.

I have barely any straight friends at the moment.  Let me try and count...  Erm...  Right now, I'm at three.  And now I'm stuck.  o.o  Jeeze...  XDD  I find women attractive, but not to the point where I'd be Bi.  But apparently, that means I'm not straight either.  But heck, why limit myself completely?  Pansexual.  Fun stuff.  Do what feels right, kids.  Oh, and another reason why I'm not Bi is because a certain oh-so-feminine feature scares me.  >.>
